Un groupe de quatre adultes, nous avons dîné ici le soir du jeudi 19 juin. Nous n'avions pas réservé et nous étions tout simplement sortis de notre hôtel pour trouver un endroit où manger. Nous avons vu cet endroit et bien qu'il n'était pas très fréquenté, nous avons tous apprécié son apparence et son ambiance. Cela s'est avéré être un bon choix. La nourriture était simple mais excellente, le rapport qualité-prix était très bon et la jeune serveuse souriante nous a tous très bien accueillis. Il y avait une bonne atmosphère une fois que quelques autres clients étaient également entrés, même si l'endroit n'était pas plein. J'imagine que lors d'une soirée d'été animée, que ce soit à l'intérieur...
During an evening of heavy showers we needed a restaurant near the Ibis in Ciboure (too risky of getting soaked in walking over bridge into St Jean de Luz) Set back in a small square we decided on this one. Reasonable meal but by no means fine dining. Served rather grudgingly by a young waitress who seemed to have her mind on other things. Service was rather slow indeed three other couples gave up and left before ordering. Would only have given two stars but added an extra one as this restaurant seemed to be the only one we could find open on a Monday night in the vicinity.
Nous nous sommes arrêtés à Bakea tard un soir sous une pluie battante, et avons découvert l'un des meilleurs repas que nous ayons eu dans la région : des artichauts et du jambon serrano délicieux, l'un des meilleurs steaks que j'ai jamais mangé, avec un excellent vin. Le dessert était plus ordinaire, mais tout à fait mangeable ! Ambiance décontractée. Hautement recommandé !
We ate here on the second night in Ciboure and we weren't disappointed. We both had the entrecôte switch an au pouive sauce which I have to say was delicious. We splashed the cash and had a bottle of Pouilly Fume. I'm assuming the gentleman that served us was the owner as he was very friendly and really looked after us. This isn't fine dining but we really enjoyed our meal.

A bit strange to begin with. We arrived 4pm. Reception not open. A notice pinned to the glass with out name and room number. found the key and our room. Old fashioned, quite a decent size, Comfy bed. Couldn't get WiFi to begin with. Staff were there in the restaurant in the evening and all OK. Parking available in the street. One minute walk to quayside.
We stopped in at Bakea late one evening in the pouring rain, and stumbled across one of the best meals we've had in the area - great artichocke and seranno ham, one of the best steaks I've ever had, with great wine. Pudding more regular, but more than edible! Relaxed atmosphere. Highly reccommend!
Nous sommes arrivés vers 19h30 et avons été les seuls clients du restaurant toute la soirée. La nourriture était correcte mais pas spectaculaire, mon boudin noir était local et bon. Le serveur (le propriétaire peut-être) n'était pas intéressé par le service clients. Tout était automatique.
We arrived around 7.30 pm and were the only 2 people in the restaurant all night The food was OK not spectacular - my black pudding was local and good The server (owner?) was not interested in serving customers. It was all automatic

Charming staff here. Had a coffee and some Basque cake after visiting the Sunday market. Definitely will return next time.
the meal was very mediocre we had chicken curry which I can well make better myself- very poor for a french restaurant
