We dived in this hotel dining room for lunch quite late a day on a very quiet Sunday, after visiting the watch museum around the corner. Actually, we didn't expect much when the restaurant was completely empty. What a wonderful surprise. At the beginning this is one of the few restaurants in Germany, where a family of 5 simple tap water can get without spending $15 on bottle water for the table. French onion soup was excellent. The German pig roast was typical. But the burgers and pommes were absolutely fantastic. I was totally shocking at those burgers. C'est un endroit superbe où nous avons nos habitudes de longue date. Après une ballade nous nous sommes donc tout naturellement dirigés vers cet établissement, en nous réjouissant de la perspective d'un agréable diner sur sa belle terrasse en cette soirée de septembre particulièrement douce. Malheureusement personne n'est venu prendre notre commande, et, au bout de 20 minutes nous avons du nous résoudre à quitter les lieux. Dommage...

Sehr leckeres Essen, Preis ist angemessen. Hatte den Zwiebelrostbraten, der gut gelungen ist. Service ist ebenfalls aufmerksam und gut. Einzig, dass die Küche bereits 30 Minuten vorher schliesst ist nicht so toll.

Meine Spareribs waren trocken und langweilig im Geschmack. Pommes, halt das Übliche. Service ok, Ambiente angenehm. Die Kalbsleber, die ich beim 2. Besuch hatte war empfehlenswert, zart und fein abgeschmeckt

Hoge kwaliteit in hotel-restaurant. Mooie inrichting met veel oude streekvoorwerpen. Vriendelijke bediening. Vrij hoge prijzen wegens de goede kwaliteit. Gerechten zien er ook mooi uit.

Beautiful, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good food, hunger! In the middle of Furtwangen, directly opposite the Furtwangen Town Hall. Very nice nights.

A great opportunity to taste local dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is a beautiful ambience and the feeling of the Black Forest.
