Hotel Helmerhof Restaurant

wir haben uns Gefreut ein so gut Bewertetes Hotel zu Bekommen. Los ging es beim Check in. Man Fragte uns wann wollen Sie Frühstücken, wir fragten wann gibt es denn Frühstück, von 7 bis 10 Uhr 30, haben wir gesagt passt, nein wir brauche eine Uhrzeit. Das war für uns der erste Schock. Aber OK, 7 Uhr 30. Samstag Abend um 20 Uhr 30 ins Bett gelegt lesen, Fernsehen. Dann ging es los, ein Gerumpel und Geschepper, bis fast 22 Uhr, Gott lob Nachtruhe, Morgens 6 Uhr 45 geht das wieder los. Wir haben dann festgestellt unter unserem Zimmer war Gasstube und Küche und das war der Lärm von der Vorbereitung oder dem Aufräumen. Montag Reserviert zum Abendessen. The Helmerhof used to be our place to go to whenever we were in the area (we love the Allgäu a lot and travel there on a regular basis), but this time we were deeply disappointed. The food was terrible. We had veal Schnitzel and the recommendation of the day, which was a beef Gulasch supposedly from home-bred animals. The veal was utterly greasy and very chewy, the Gulasch was completely cold, very chewy and the gravy tasted artificial.Even the desert (warm curd dumplings filled with apricots), usually the highlight of the meal, was not as good as it used to be - just sad!The restroom was in a bad condition - and though I do not want to speculate about the condition of the kitchen the though...

Food drinks: Wir kamen zur absoluten Stoßzeit gegen 18 Uhr, und obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, hat man uns sofort einen Tisch gesucht und gegeben. Der Service war wirklich perfekt, trotz Stress alle super nett und zuvorkommend. Zuerst die Vorspeisen: Wirklich eine sehr außergewöhnliche Vielfalt und ein Salatbuffet. Der karalmelisierte Ziegenkäse und die Rinderbrühe mit Leberknödeln waren sehr lecker. Kurz später, zur perfekten Zeit kam der Hauptgang: Zwei Cordonblues (eine Portion mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelsalat und die Schweinemedallions mit Spinatknödeln, es war sehr schön angerichtet und hat uns super geschmeckt! 4.5-5/5 for this restaurant. The only slight hesitation to a 5 is the customer service is so so. They were fine, just not overly friendly. Not a big deal for us, as we were there to enjoy each other's company and their great food. We had the pork schnitzel with spätzle. Don't remember the actual name. It had two good sized unbreaded pork chops, crispy onions and bacon on top and sat on a bunch of cheesy spätzle and gravy. It was a huge serving. I have a pretty big appetite and struggled to finish the whole thing and probably shouldn't have, but it tasted so good. Quite rich and flavorful. I believe it was roughly 13.50€ for the dish. We stayed in a little gasthaus a few blocks away, and were recommended to Helmerhof, where we had possible the best meal, freshest ingredients and best service that we had during a week in Bavaria. (The table note stated all wait staff were seniors who appreciated tips !) Lovely decor, informal, indoor and outdoor seating, and large portions.In a rural village with lots of parking not far from the famous castle of Mad Ludwig. We recommend the pancake soup, and anything made with seasonal vegetables. Clearly it's a real farm-to-table experience.

Wir waren im Restaurant für ein Abend essen. Es war der schönste Abend, den wir während unseres Kurztrips hatten. Wahnsinnig freundliche, aufmerksame und lustige Servicekräfte! Man hat sich so wahnsinnig gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Essen war so unglaublich lecker, dass wir trotz vollen Bäuchen noch einen Nachtisch nehmen 'mussten ' Jederzeit gerne wieder! Absolute Empfehlung! Service: 5

Wunderschönes und idyllisches Hotel mit überaus freundlichem Personal und sehr gutem Restaurant. Uns hat es gefallen, gerne wieder. Rooms: Sauber und praktisch Eingerichtet. We were very lucky to be squeezed in for an early supper as we had not made a booking and they were fully booked. Really appreciate the lovely waitress who made it happen for us. Thank you! Veal schnitzel was delicious. Réservez une table maintenant

We had dinner at this restaurant on a very balmy evening, so we were seated outside. The food was good, the service excellent despite being very busy and the atmosphere idyllic. Cannot ask for more.
