I have had several functions here over the years which have been very successful and enjoyable.This pub has recently changed hands (now called the "JunKtion") and has had a lovely makeover but has kept a nice, CLEAN, spacious, unpretentious, casual atmosphere. Having grown up in the area I love the artwork/ murals inside with reference to the local skipping girl on Victoria St and the much loved "dancing man" of the Kew junction, who sadly passed on a few years ago. A gorgeous touch! I had my 50th birthday celebration here last weekend and I couldn't have chosen a better venue. I booked the ground floor area/ bistro area which was ideal for a stand up party with finger food and bar. No room...
This is a lovely pub. Old school. They've ditched the TAB. NO POKIES! Clearly defined front bar, lounge and bistro all great. Foods delicious and good value. I particularly like the uncrowded lounge for my regular Thursday night layover waiting for the girls to finish choir before I drive them home. I found it using the Guinness app. Guinness on tap=pub worth a try. Tragedy. They've turned off the Guinness. Dropped in tonight for a pint to discover it's off. TRAGEDY. Bring it back! If it's a loss leader then SO BE IT. Don't be that pub that used to be perfect. I want to give you 5 stars, but don't screw around with my Guinness!
Recently went for lunch to the Kew Junktion Hotel. The service was the terrible, had to wait over 40 mins to receive entrée of dips / bread... it probably would have been longer if we didn't say anything. Then we ended up waiting another 30 mins for mains. with no apology about the delay at all. Food was very basic and nothing to write home about, all food is pretty much fried. there is very little food on the menu that is healthy. No salads at all. It seems that they have no idea about the hospitality industry / service industry.
The Kew has been under new management for many months now and is worth a revisit if you haven't been for ages. Food is very good - burger focus - including a nice vegie burger. The new owner/operator is often on deck bringing a bit of buzz. One very big reason to support the Kew - they have given the TAB the boot - YES!Nice deck for a warm evening and a couple of pots/pints. Quiz on a Wednesday night.

Well the burgers are pretty good. I had the pulled pork burger which was tasty. Couple of things though, since the person I was with ordered almost the same (sans cheese) it would be good if they served them the right was around. Also I think they should charge a little more and supply chips rather than have this as something separate.
My partner and I like to chill on Sundays and no cooking as even God says women should rest on a Sunday! So after a blissful day of torturing my partner by dragging him round Melbourne shopping we decided to stop in this bar for a quick pint ( see I'm all heart). However the atmosphere
Recently attended an event in the function room of this pub- outside beer garden was fantastic, so was the inside. However we were disgusted at the service of the staff at this hotel, rude and patronizing. Unfortunately will only return when/if new owners buy the pub.
I have been with my partner in a Sunday evening for dinner food was amazing service even better...cheap for the quality of the meal....the pub is very big with kids play area, outside smoking patio area...perfect night, will definitely come back

Situated right on the cross roads and on the edge of the main shopping area. Good pub food, good portions, I particularly liked the Delta Chicken. $$60 for two, including drinks. Very friendly staff.
