For any hotel it's important that the rooms are well designed, user friendly and comfortable, Sadly none of these things were true of the room I was given at this hotel. The room was supposed to be a double but was tiny, white walls, white ceiling and white bedding made it look like a hospital side room, There was no kettle, no coffee, no fridge, a complementary bottle of mineral water but no glass to drink it from, there were no USB points for charging phones or tablets or laptops, A tiny desk so cluttered with hotel info that you couldn't work at it, and no shelves to move it to, Strange electric sockets meant my European adapter didn't work. There was one easy chair, no room for any more. The bathroom was also tiny with an annoying broken flickering light, a shower space so low the head of the shower only came up to my chin. All I can say is thank god I was only staying here for one night, and I don't have to come back here again. My advice to any traveller, especially a business traveller is stay somewhere else, if you want a 4 star service,
Located in the old town of Thun and right in the center. Here you can enjoy Chinese and Swiss cuisine. We had reservations for lunch and Chinese cuisine. Very nice reception and since it was my birthday, I was congratulated straight away. Our table was decorated with Happy Birthday signs. My choice remained the lunch menu... chicken breast crispy fried in lemon sauce, very tasty. My partner also highly recommended the beef. I was then surprised with a free dessert from the kitchen... very nice, I was very happy.
