We were 4 people. Set menu on 1st evening ordered from menu 2nd evening. Everyone enjoyed their meals service. It was only disappointing for the vegetarian. Tomato cucumber salad was too cold mushy to enjoy the proper flavor of the vegetables. No variation of choice for the 2nd evening so they served a very modest plate of steamed vegetables. With many people seeking to eat less meat, it would nice if the restaurant could support this with at least 2 options, and to ensure these meals are as appealing as the non-vegetarian options (and appropriate in price). The modest steam vegetable meal was 27 CHF compared to 29 CHF for huge Cordon Bleu meal. Staff were friendly and professional.
A very nice restaurant in a hotel. I only bin in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. The ambiance is great with a fantastic view on the lake. A very cosy and nice place. Staff is very friendly and give you time to make your choice. Food was very nice and we had the house wine to it. That wine was that nice that I took a bottle home. If you visit Thun this restaurant is worth to check. Either with own transport of the bus what stops next door.
Always advisable to make a prior reservation. The staff was helpful and friendly . There aren’t a great many options but enough to offer something for most there are vegetarian options as well ! Service was good . Quality of ingredients was excellent and fresh . The portion size was good . Not small . The overall feel was of fine dining. It isn’t cheap but makes for a pleasant evening out .
