Hotel Restaurant Canal

This is a fairly old fashioned restaurant and sadly has no outside dining area but on a dull day we did not mind eating in. We both chose the famous cassoulet and I thought it was fab. My wife felt it was rather heavy but she is far more fussy than me! I particulatly liked the presentation of the wine list which made life very easy. Simple and old fashioned but rather pleasant.

After a long drive in torrential rain, we were desperate for a meal. Restaurant Canal did not disappoint. We had confit de canard at E13.00. Included potatoes, grilled tomato and mushrooms set in egg. Really delicious and well presented. Also glass of red E3...per glass was very acceptable. Service spot on, and lovely staff. Would use again like a shot.

This is some of the best French food I've eaten anywhere in France. This is traditional French food but not afraid to try new ideas. Everything is just so. For the quality of the food it is excellent value. If you like cassoulet, then go for it, but if not there is plenty to choose from.They dont open every night and booking is probably essential.

Nous habitons à 10-12 minutes du restaurant (depuis 2013) et nous nous fions à la délicieuse cuisine française typique. Que ce soit le soir ou à midi, tout est toujours sur place et les prix sont très raisonnables. Les propriétaires travaillent dur offrent toujours un accueil chaleureux et un excellent service.

We live minutes from the restaurant (since and have come to rely upon it for delicious typically French cuisine. Evenings or lunchtimes everything is always spot on and the prices are very reasonable. The hard-working owners always offer a warm welcome...and they run a great service.

Very difficult to find anywhere open in holiday season, so we were happy to go here. not a great choice of food, but excellent quality. Not recommended for strict vegetarians as it's fish or meat. Friendly, good service and very pleasant traditional decor

Good tradional French food, had two large parties of diners in but still took time to look after couples. Nice set menus at reasonable prices. Will definitely eat here again. Réservez une table maintenant

Accueil et qualité très bons; Rapport qualité-prix excellent. Déjà testé l'année dernière et j'y retournerai bientôt.
