As other reviewers may already have said, this is a small, old and traditional town hotel in St James. The restaurant offers a number of set price menus, each offering a good choice, as well as the a la carte. The food is simple and typical of the Normandy Region. I have a holiday home (which I visit for a few days most months of the year) near to the town and have been using the restaurant quite regularly for 15 years or so. The food is very reasonably priced, of good quality and well cooked. The owners are a charming couple and the serving staff are always faultless and very pleasant. Ce restaurant était vraiment amusant ! Belle cuisine..vraiment bien cuisinée. L'endroit semble n'avoir pas été décoré depuis 1975. Cela ne nous a pas empêché d'y retourner. Le trajet jusqu'aux toilettes est un peu bizarre... mais je ne vais pas gâcher la surprise !
Small, old and quaint hotel in St. James. The food is pretty good and service is good too. A good stopping place if you are touring the area. Typical Norman food with a good lunchtime 'Menu Ouvrier' at €11 (about £8).

Great food and drink at very reasonable prices. I can certainly recommend the moules and escargot! Three different set menus as well as the al a cart. Well worth a visit of you're in the area.
Needed some lunch on the way to Carnac so pulled off the highway and found this typical Normandy Gem. Great meal, reasonable price friendly service. What more could you want.
Quatre d'entre nous avons mangé des plats différents. Tous étaient délicieux, accompagnés de bonnes sauces... Les vins de table étaient servis en carafe.
