Randomly ran into this little restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Located in a high-end neighborhood, their sign of the Lanzhou Noodle Soup caught my eyes. The friendly owner greeted us and helped us to pick the dishes. Ordered the chicken with scallion, also the pork with some chili pepper and of course the Lanzhou beef noodle soup that we enjoyed the chewy noodle texture and the broth a lot. The other dishes were good too. Elegant interior decoration offers a relax atmosphere for enjoying food. Very reasonable and I’d recommend it. Several dishes fell short in flavor, which is a significant drawback for Chinese-American cuisine. However, there are a few standout options that are definitely worth trying, such as the bok choy and mushrooms, which were flavorful and delightful, as well as the whole crispy duck, boasting perfectly crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. If you're local, this restaurant could be a decent choice, but I wouldn't recommend it for a casual outing.
This is my new favorite Asian restaurant! The workers are very welcoming and they have very good customer service. Our server, Jenny, gave us many good recommendations because it was our first time coming. The overall atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. I ordered from House Of Chang again since it was previously Lucky Garden, and I can say the food is fairly similar, which is a positive. We enjoyed the essentials: noodles, potstickers, fried rice, beef with broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken. It made for a wonderful evening. That's the key takeaway. I’ll definitely return if my wife and doctor allow it!

I used to order from this place when it was known as Lucky Garden, and it seems the food hasn't changed much, which is fantastic. Our go-to spot for years! My mom and I both have a gluten allergy and they have a huge selection of dishes that can be made gluten free. As a fan of authentic spicy Asian cuisine, I can confidently say that House of Chang excels with their signature dishes! Originally from New York, where we take our Asian food seriously, I have to declare HoC as our absolute favorite in the Boston area. It’s worth the drive, the wait—everything!
Since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease two years ago, I've missed eating Asian cuisine. My husband, son and I thoroughly enjoyed to food. I had no negative reaction. We will be returning!
