I made a reservation at this restaurant for a business lunch because they offered a lunch buffet. Unfortunately, most of the food was lukewarm and some items like the saag paneer were cold. The meat options were limited to chicken and goat, with no lamb or other choices available. Additionally, many dishes were overly salty. The server never offered us more naan bread, even though we sat at our table for 2 hours. I would not recommend paying $12.50 for this subpar buffet lunch experience, and I doubt I will be returning to this restaurant in the future.
The food and service was great. It was open Sunday evening and dining room was one-third full, so it was quiet. It is in a strip shopping center so the ambience was not great, but the dining room was well decorated. The food is ethic Indian and lamb, chicken, legumes, and vegetarian is on the menu. Serving sizes were generous and we ate left-overs for three more meals. Price was a bargain.
The House of India is my favorite Indian restaurant in N. Montgomery county. The food is always hot and flavorful, the service is excellent (water glasses are always filled) and the servers are patient about recommending dishes or explaining how they are prepared. The prices are reasonable making this an outstanding value!
I had a lovely Valentine's meal at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, extremely tasty, and the portion sizes were generous. The prices were also very fair. I would definitely dine here again.

This is the best Indian food. Excellent service and out of this world flavor! Will be going back again and again, simply outstanding food.
