We have been coming here for 7+ years. Started coming to the brewery before it became popular and there were just two tables inside and you could can anything on tap.Although I still do like their beer, I was pretty surprised to come across the “no pets” sign at their brewery. This is on the patio. I have never been to a brewery or even a restaurant (outside of Michelin star or really fancy places) that did not allow dogs .Those with fur babies can find nice places in Beacon that are not just allowing pups in but are happy that you and your pup are there.
My advice to ignore any reviews left by people who went to a sour beer brewery and complain that they only had sour beers. This is like going to the Baked Potate in North Hollywood and complaining that they only serve baked potatoes or going to McDonald's and complaining that they only serve fast food. The beer isn't quite as good as it was a few years back but they still make the best sour IPA's available. The pizza truck makes great pizza as well. The worst thing about HVB is honestly the parking lot.
Happy the taproom is open indoor tasting this winter. Definitely go for the sours, I can’t really say much about the stouts/IPAs. Some of my favorite sours in the northeast. Lots of tasty flavors love anything with raspberries, passion fruit, blueberries. The beers can be a little overpowering, which is fine if you stick with smaller pours/flights.
This is a really fun place to go with a group. I'm not usually a fan of sour ones, but they have some amazing flavors here. Plenty of outdoor space but wish they had a little more indoor seating. They don't have any food, but let you bring in any food you want. The spouts are also generous and very inexpensive! Réservez une table maintenant
Great beer selection and really great environment. The garage space really made me nostalgic for Midwestern breweries (my love language). It was a perfect mix-and-match scenario—you could order a 4, 8, or 16 ounce of any drink, making it possible to try lots of different brews. I will definitely be back!
