Hughley's Southern Cuisine

Hughleys has some delicious roasted chicken, just the right amount of spices. The meat is beautiful and juicy when you tear it apart, always a plus her maize bread is moist with exactly the right amount of sweetness. Now the bad part, the Mac and the cheese was a waste, the taste was good, but it wasn't hot so the cheese was dissatisfied. The mash potatoes were less than stellar, not sure whether it is because I didn't want to gravy and just some butter or what, but they just didn't seem to point. Overall we still love the food and recommend you stop in

This place was amazing! Smothered pork chop was so tender, the meat literally fell from the bone. They didn't even need a fork to cut them. Fried Okra was fantastic as the cattle breeze! The potatoes were good, but tasted like instant potatoes. Although my husband and I ordered mini-plates, we were too full to order Dessert! In any case, you have to come back. Great friendly people work there and great food!

This is a great place to eat. I just moved here from Washingtin, DC and this is the only place on the island that sells soul food. Yes. You read that correct. They serve the food of my culture and it taste good. If you are visiting this is the place to check out. It's not far from the swap meet either. Look that up too...you can get your souvenirs here and not pay all that money in Waikki or other places.

Recently a fabulous plate of shrimps and dimples ate.... I asked for a sampler board... they offered 2 page orders some okra and mac and cheese...hum they were out of the chain...oh and don't forget the lemonade and corn bread. I forgot to mention my daughters. Catfish. Collars... candied Yams..red beans and rice... and delicious potato cake.... Good Lord, the Hughleys brought southern cooking to Hawaii

I was happy about this place. The food was great and a very nice part for the price. I would recommend to any of my friends who come to Hawaii. Thank you. Ken has time to talk to me and my wife. God bless your brother.
