Look, the food was very good. Schnitzel could be thinner, but trout was great. BUT if you 're going to make Jacob act as server, either train him, or get him a personality transplant. Personally, I think it 's the former....it 's Monday (Locals specials, apparently), but we 're not locals. Bistro Tender , and I ask if that 's a steak.... I don 't know. This is after he made 2 trips because there 's no printed beer list, and we had questions. 2 entrees ordered, they arrive, so I ask if we could get some bread... ? No offer of dessert.... Seriously, total deer in headlights experience.
First time in and we had so much fun with our server, Kaci. She knows the details and was expert at assessing our dining style. The food was top quality and fresh! wine selection- just right! I have eaten at Hunters Tavern numerous times. Unfortunatlly it seems to be hit or a miss. the ceasar salad was poor, Turtle soup ...weak. No or very little meat or vegtables. My dinner was Blackened sword fish etoufee. Fish was not blackened, overcooked and dry. My wifes crab cakes were spot on.
All the food we ordered was good. Waiter listened carefully to our requests and went above and beyond to make them happen.

I got sick from the food. It was over seasoned to hide what was bad. I would not recommend eating there.
