The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. Our server Michel was wonderful and provided great advice on food choices. She was attentive without being overbearing, which shows her expertise. The food was beautifully presented and appetizing. All guests commented on how delicious their meals were. The chef is clearly experienced and talented, as the quality and flavor of the dishes were outstanding. The ambiance at Idelwyld's is peaceful and beautiful, making for a lovely dining experience. Thank you to Michel and the chef for a great meal.
I indicated it was my husband s bday when making a reservation and nothing was acknowledged. Same server was serving another table (across from our table) and they were also celebrating bday and a little treat came to that table with a candle. Bit dissapointing. Also, there was no Provimi Calves Liver left which is what was my husband wanted to order.
The restaurant had a beautiful ambiance and the service was excellent. The food was presented very nicely. However, there were some downsides: we were placed in a small, noisy room that didn't suit the special occasion we were celebrating. The dishes were tasty but they were overly saucy and heavy. Additionally, the prices were on the higher side.
