Recently visited this restaurant despite passing it everyday since I was a kid, I've been back already 3 times the food is sooooo good. The portions were massive which is awesome. My favourite is the minestrone, and the profiteroles but my god the salad! The salad is so simple but it blew my taste buds how good it was, yum! The owner introduced himself and we had good chit chat, absolutely lovely man that Chelso. The only bad thing was the waitress was a little rude,I asked what was in a certain dish and she blew me off and went to serve another table, apart from her wonderful experience!
Tonight thought we would try a restaurant we have always driven past but never eaten at.I was not impressed from the moment I walked in..!! So out dated..!! Asked for wine menu they only served house wine ..!!Ordered Garlic Prawns were OK have had much better..!!For main ordered Penne Scampi .. Was pasta soup cream sauce so runny .. Was it scampi or minced prawns ????? Who knows. ?? I wont be back that's for sure ..!!!
Service was very slow, I think we had to wait over an hour for the main. I had veal masala that was good but nothing special. The one thing that I judge any Italian restaurant is the tiramisu. I had read it was good here but honestly it was the worst one I had anywhere just a pile of slop really. Best was the BYO which they didn't charge for.
We had a family dinner here for my daughter's 30th birthday. I have never eaten better Italian food in a restaurant. My daughter who is a fussy eater loved every mouthful and can't wait to go back again for more deliciousness. Decor is dated but who cares! It's all about the yummy food

This place is always a hit. I have been going here for about 8 years and it never misses. The staff make the experience special every time. The food is solid Italian cuisine and appeals to all.PizZa And pasta are great, meat dishes always done just right.Try it
Chelsie the host has been doing this well for a long time (and his mum and dad before him), Good pizza ,pasta and meat are always available . You won't go hungry as long as Il Bolognase is still kicking .
Italian restaurants come and go, But Il Bollognese is our local favourite for years. This is your typical traditional Italian restaurant. Food and service is always good. value for money
I remember when il Bolognese was in Drummoyne. I was not disappointed Food was great. Service was authentic Servings were generous Dine in. Take away. You could not go wrong.

Il bolognese deserves credit. They have been there for a very long time and my experience is great for and friendly staff and consistently good.
Good food. Service was also good. Nice variety. Kids also enjoyed their meals, byo wine but also had a choice. Small but comfy.
