We had booked a night at the San Gabriel Hotel, which is an experience in itself, again work a detour, and the restaurant is part of the building.The premises are just unique, food served by waiters dressed like monks. The restaurant has so many different nooks and crannies: apparently a converted convent or monastery, but it has been so well done.Asparagus season, and the taste was sublime with hollandaise sauce and olive oil. Main courses, prawns, meat, pasta were packed full of flavour.Cost was very reasonable. Good wine selection.A must do experience.
Locale molto originale, un vecchio convento dei frati convertito a ristorante! Curato nei minimi particolari, bellissima atmosfera e personale (in parte italiano) cortese. Cucina italiana ... o meglio italo-tedesca ... ovvero piatti italiani rivisti secondo i gusti locali. Comunque niente male, da provare!
Auf dem Weg zurück aus dem Urlaub im Kloster übernachtet ...aus Versehen in der Küche gelandet statt an der Rezeption....die beste Kalbsleber vom Grill ever gegessen...frisches Gemüse, Kartoffeln...ein Gedicht!! Kellner in Mönchskutte freundlich...komme bestimmt wieder!!!
