Visited this beautiful little-known Italian gem in Lasalle, Montreal this weekend. Extensive menu ranging from pasta, risotto, seafood, chicken, to steak. I am vegetarian and I eat gluten-free. I wasimpressed with the flavourful gluten-free arabiatta spaghetti and the salad appetizer which you can add for only 2$ with any meal. The other members of my group turned their meals into a table d'hôte (soup or salad, dessert and tea or coffee) for just 6$ addition to any meal. Two group members that had the salmon said it was the best salmon they've ever eaten. Desserts were delicious too! We went there for an 80th anniversary as a big group of 30. It was our first time there. The Italian menu was extensive from pastas, to veal, fish, steaks, etc.. Whatever your choice, everything is excellent at reasonable prices! My veal Marsala was great tender meat with a lot of mushrooms and a nice wine sauce and my wife took the grilled salmon that was also well cooked. Portions are big. The wine list is rather extensive for that kind of restaurant. Price of wine has been just $5 above SAQ prices. On Saturdays, they are mostly groups in the restaurant, not really good for a "tête-à-tête" dinner! Service was good but a bit too fast for our taste. Overall a very good value for the money!
Il Griglia d'Oro excellent restaurant with extensive menu to choose from !! ambiance very good tables are well prepared clean and fresh ! As a group of 8 service was very professional waitress was excellent timing and service !! food is well prepared the table d 'hote is excellent and well priced !! from entrée to main course there is an amazing choice ! pasta to fish to beef veal they have it all ! well prepared and served with perfection ! Extensive wine list at reasonable prices !! I must recommend this restaurant to everyone to enjoy !Also they have a section for Bigger gatherings like birthdays and bigger family occasions !! I went there today for lunch / Business Meeting. It was my first time since they reopened! Since I could not find their menus online, I called to ask if they had Table D'Hote for lunch and they said yes! So off we went to try it!I have to admit that the choice for lunch was less than the previous administration, but the food was equally delicious as before. I had their veal, and believe me, it was the most tender I had ever had in my life! I could have eaten it with a spoon! I hope they keep their food quality standard as I will definitely go back!
Very average Italian with above average cost. It is said that if duck is on the menu it is a good dish to use to judge the quality of the other dishes.I had the Duck breast topped with Granny Smith apples and dried Cranberries in a Cognac dijonnaise sauce. I found the sauce bland and the meat on the tough side. Not quit to my likening. My wife had the Risotto di mare, with shrimp, scallops and crab. Good but not worth the price. Service was very good.
This place is fantastic ,always a treat to get out to this spot ...and to think it's in Lasalle lol..atmosphere is amazing,staff is amazing ,food and amazing,they have changed the menu and it's still amazing and for all u penny pinchers out there who complained the prices were too pricey they have dropped the prices.but even at the prices of the old menu this place is worth every penny!!!
Great spot for a special occasion or just a great place to have a nice meal. Good choices at lunch and reasonably priced. Restaurant is very attractive and we all enjoyed the food as well as the presentation. Service was good. We especially liked the good selection of wine which can be ordered by the glass. We all look forward to returning to this restaurant in the near future.
