Il Matto - Réservation de table

So fortunate that this restaurant is located where we stayed ...Hotel 71. Ironically, our Tuesday arrival coincided with many restaurants being closed. Thankfully, Matto was open and we enjoyed it so much that we also dined there Wednesday night too. Two of the best meals, ambience, and accompanying service of our visit ! Overall, we devoured the egg plant parmesan appetizer, Cesear salad, spaghetti pomodoro, mushroom risotto. Wine list included many price points that included unique selections. We chose a bottle and brought the remainder to our room . Service was very professional, chatty, and friendly, hip vibe in a cool vibrant setting. Side note....we loved this Lower Town location away...

The food was fine. I had an eggplant parmigiana appetizer, my husband had minestrone soup. I ordered a carbonara for my entree and we shared a creme brûlée for dessert. All was tasty, served hot and the service was very attentive. There were dozens of wait staff around at all times. Unfortunately I came down with COVID two days later. We should have sat outside. The inside seating is very close together. You really are packed in tightly. And if you have a boisterous man sitting at a table next to you, then you get to hear his entire conversation. A fine, solid restaurant. My only problem was the seating.

We arrived late to our hotel and noticed that Matto was still open. We were seated at a table outside and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The waiter was very friendly even with a large group of patrons to serve. After a long day of travel we were able to enjoy a relaxing meal, taking in a beautiful view of the Old Port district

Tonight was our first experience with an anchovy pizza. Our Pizza Napolitane was excellent. Service was excellent. We are staying at a hotel with the same address. Our server changed to English quickly upon learning that we spoke no French. Parmesan and a spicy oil were both available for our pizza. Réservez une table maintenant

We would love to return to Matto. Because we had a reservation they offered us a very fancy table, but we chose to dine outside instead. The Mama's salad and prosciutto arugula salads were perfect. The mussels in marinara (appetizer), vongole pasta and lasagna were also very good. A nice evening.

Incredible food, nice atmosphere, and Theo is a phenomenal waiter! We loved this restaurant so much that we ate here twice during our visit and wish we had eaten here again our last night. (La Pizz pizza was NOT good)

Been to Quebec twice, this restaurant is always a must. Does it get better? Review needs to be 85 characters??? Idk what else to say yelp....
