We have been here in the past and, although the service has been iffy, the food was good. Not tonight. Terrible is all we can say. Only after we inquired, our appetizer was finally served 30 minutes from ordering. Immediately, out came our entrees. They took them back until we finished the appy and, when served, they were terrible. What got me, was our waitress did not follow up and the managers were defensive when we explained our disappointment. While my salmon was removed from the bill, my husband's veal was inedible. When I asked for coffee....even that was cold and terrible. So disappointed. we will not be back.
I've been going to Il Mondo Vecchio for special occasions for more than 30 years. The food has always been incredibly good. Huge menu, everything is delicious. Super consistent quality. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options like the Portobello appetizer, mushroom ravioli, and a few pastas. Also a few great salads. Food poorly prepared. I asked for pescatarian food and was promised there would be a wide assortment of choices. Since Michael Cetrulo sold this restaurant it went far down in quality. Overpriced and inferior food and service. “pignoli crusted “ salmon had a total of three pignolis on the top. Salmon came out of the kitchen barely cooked. This restaurant is no longer a quality restaurant. Total disappointment! Service: Dine in
Salmon, tilapia and snapper were all delicious. New years dinner was terrific always love the porcino ravioli. Eat here on many special occasions. Went to dinner here recently and Claudio, the manager was great ! We had great service, the food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back again.
