I always enjoy dining at Il Mulino. For my girlfriend's 75th birthday, I decided to take her out for lunch at this restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere and service were excellent as usual. I savored every bite of my delicious salmon, and the chocolate cake I took home was devoured in five minutes once I got back. It was simply irresistible! Unfortunately, the wait staff failed to acknowledge my girlfriend's special occasion, despite me mentioning it when I arrived and including it in my reservation. Top notch from beginning to end. Clams in broth were incredible, just enough spice, but not spicy. Eggplant was fresh and delicious. For entrees my husband had the Dover Sole, which was so delicious cooked to perfection with the best lemony, buttery sauce. I had the chicken sorrentina and it was by far the best I ever had. If I had one complaint, it would be the music. I would have rather heard classical piano or piano instrumental, or even Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin music. It was actually funny listening to some of the songs that were played as it does not go with the grand elegance and dim lighting of the restaurant. But it did not hinder a beautiful night.
I was expecting a delicious brunch and was totally disappointed. The menu was almost ridiculous with hardly any brunch items. The 2 eggs came with no sides,no bacon, not even a piece of toast. The manager’s arm had to be twisted to get 2 pieces of bacon which he wanted to charge extra for. And the staff could not have cared less, with no charm at all. And expensive. It’s the first and last time I’ll be there.
Booked online no mention that it was a fixed menu. We would not of booked had we known price was $175 per person. The apps were just OK the pasta was ravioli and was cold by the time someone came to table to let them know I was over it. I ordered Chilean sea bass and it was horrible. Will not be returning

There is no better dining deal than Il Mulino's Sunday prix fixed Sunday dinner. A four course offering with a wide variety of Il Mulino specialties is a diner's delight. Each dish ordered was delicious, generous size portions and professional, doting service. We look forward to returning very soon!
$7.50 for a soda is ridiculous. I can buy a whole case for $10-11$. Other than that I thought the prices were fair. Wife ordered the Wellington but the waiter had no idea they weren’t serving it that night. 
We shared appetizer, pasta, main course and 2 glasses of wine. Our bill including tax and tip was $300 for two people. Ridiculous Too much garlic and money!!
The food at this restaurant is outstanding. I must give special recognition to the exceptional service.

Excellent as always. Halibut special was great tiramisu as well.
