Upon arrival, we found that the interior of the restaurant was empty and there was plenty of space available outside. While we appreciated the big table, we would have preferred to sit outside as we were told that the terrace was reserved. The service was not particularly fast, but it was adequate considering that there were only 3 employees working and the restaurant is not very large. The pizzas were average at best. I have had many Neapolitan pizzas in the past due to my Italian family background, and while the pizzas had decent elements, they lacked in execution. This cozy and warm family restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with views of the Niagara Falls fireworks in the summer. While the dough used in their pizzas is good, I found the toppings to be a bit sparse, particularly the Salami. The calzone also lacked sufficient ingredients, with a good amount of cheese but other fillings lacking in flavor. Perhaps being more generous with the toppings, especially those related to meat, would improve the overall experience.
This place was great. We ordered a caprese salad, calzone and pizza. They make an amazing thin crust pizza. The server was very friendly and accommodating. She even brought us dessert on the house! Would highly recommend especially if you like authentic Italian cuisine.
