We've held back giving a review last few years because we are local and really want to support local businesses. However after a string of bad experiences with Illuminate we feel compelled to share our recent experience(yet another one) . We two walked in with no reservation, thinking we could get a seat at the bar and advised we would only be staying about an hour or so for a quick pasta. The lady at front desk said, no problem, so we followed her to our seats. Soon after the main Hostess (the one with 0 personality) came up and advised us that a party of 5 had reserved the bar seats where we were and we had to move to the area in front of dish clean up and food prep. Hats off to the entire staff at Illuminate’s. We celebrated a milestone birthday there last night, and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We were a party of 30 including 7 children which i know can be challenging.Not to take anything away from the rest of their team, but a real a special thanks to Rolland, Dean and Jack who went over and above to make our night memorable. Top notch service, food, and atmosphere.Thanks so much everyone.Kid-friendliness: Our children had their own table and were treated with the same dignity and respect as our adult tables.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Although I live on Vancouver Island and have only visited twice, every dish and drink we've tried has been absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful—clean, comfortable, and an elegant yet relaxed vibe. The drinks are exceptional, and the food... honestly, it's the best I've ever had anywhere! You can really see the pride and care that the chef and kitchen put into their work. It's truly outstanding. We have a reservation coming up in a couple of weeks, and I can't wait!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Tsawwassen and definitely worth the trip. It offers a fantastic experience with inventive appetizers, spectacular pasta dishes, and a wide selection of main courses. The staff is attentive and friendly. The wine selection is excellent, and the talented bartender creates delightful cocktails that perfectly complement the meal. The desserts are the perfect way to cap off a heavenly dining experience. This is a very good restaurant. Service is highly professional. I have been here multiple times and tried all kinds of dishes on the menu. No real misses, go with what you feel like.Sauces are proper reduction sauces and not rammed full of arrowroot/starch. Meat is always cooked and seasoned properly to order.Its really nice to have a place like this to go to in the Tsawwassen area with proper food and not have to drive further north.

Sadly, I was too consumed by the rustic interior along with the well crafted, delicious plates to be taking photos along the way. If you love a great dry aged steak, this might be your new go to. Let's just say you won't be left wanting by this not so hidden jem.

The food tastes ok. The service is not good! 0 star for the girl with glasses. Have to ask everything myself the starting bread, the steak knife… However, everyone got diarrhoea after our visit. Not coming again.

I've visited this restaurant twice now, and both experiences were delightful. The ambiance is beautiful, and the food and drinks were exceptional. The service was fantastic on both occasions. Réservez une table maintenant
