We really enjoyed our meal at Ipanema. The staff were great and the location is absolutely stunning being right on the beach in the centre of La Boule. The view allows you to forget for a moment that you've landed in the sixties concrete monstrosity that is the Pornichet / La Baule strip. It served great pizzas and my entrecôte and frites was superb. The menu is simple, perhaps even a bit limited, but it's great for basic food and caters brilliantly for kids. The only reason it doesn't get full marks is the limited menu and elevated price which I'm sure is because of the location, but hey the location is worth it on my opinion.
Si je pouvais mettre 0, je le ferais ! Le pire service jamais vu (et croyez-moi je suis Français donc habitué à différents types de service)... Ils ont refusé de nous servir, ma fille et moi, des boissons à 15h par 30 degrés Celsius en arguant qu'ils ne servaient que des boissons + nourriture jusqu'à 16h !!! Et la nourriture (j'y étais il y a quelques jours) n'est même pas bonne du tout. Ils sont curieux et odieux ! S'il vous plaît, ne vous y rendez jamais.
Nous avons mangé des pâtes carbonara et c'était un excellent rapport qualité-prix, encore une fois un personnel sympathique et efficace, un restaurant de plage et sans prétention. Fin parfaite d'une journée après un déjeuner gastronomique. Le vin, un Province Rose, était très savoureux et nous avons terminé avec des cafés, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de biscuits servis avec du café. Dans l'ensemble, un repas correct pour terminer la journée.
This was good and simple food on the beach, a Nordique salad and 4 saisons pizza shared. Throw in a bottle of Sancerre for €25 and you have a great meal for under €60 for two. After a lot of French restaurants this was small break that tasted really good! The added bonus of friendly service made our night here.

We stopped here for a couple of drinks while walking the beach in La Baule... really nice little beach restaurant. Although there are several similar places along the beach - we thought this one looked nicest... they also had pizza which was pretty good too!Service was good and the scenery was hard to beat!
La pire expérience jamais vécue à La Baule ! Le service était terrible et le restaurant à l'intérieur est une honte. Tu comprendras mieux pourquoi cet endroit était le seul avec des disponibilités pour le dîner pendant un week-end bondé en juillet !
Great friendly service. Always consistent, delicious and copious. Great value. I have been returning there for over 20 years and love the ambiance, great views and the family who own and operate Ipanema. Bravo!!
Parfait pour une pizza. Excellents apéritifs, délicieux vin rosé, super pizzas, le tout à un excellent rapport qualité-prix avec un service amical, juste sur la plage.

Great place on the beachfront, lovely food and amazing scenery. I would love to go back to La Baule, and if I did I would definitely be going back to this restaurant.
