We had not visited Iron Hill Brewery since before the pandemic, despite being regulars in the past. It was disappointing to see how much the restaurant had declined. We sat in the front room by the window, where we found the sticky table to be unclean. The menu had been significantly reduced and prices had gone up, but unfortunately, the food quality had not been maintained. We ordered soup and two different burgers, both of which were mediocre at best. The presentation was poor, with my burger carelessly thrown together causing the toppings to fall off. The service was quick, and we were in and out in less than an hour. Overall, we were disappointed and do not plan on returning.
We went for a Mother's Day meal the Saturday before Mother's Day. There was plenty of comfortable seating. The menu had so many good options it was hard to choose! The beers were delicious and the food was excellent! Our server was very attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there and will be back to try more of their delicious food and beers!
I didn't get a chance to try the food due to the awkward tension between the host and server. We had a reservation for three but were never properly greeted, and it became clear that there was some disagreement about where to seat us. While I don't believe it was racially motivated, it definitely left a bad impression on us as new paying customers.
The food was very good. We went for Mother's Day brunch. The only complaint is the full stack of pancakes was only 3 small pancakes and it came with a side of fresh fruit which was only 1 strawberry according to our server. More like a garnish than a side. When we asked for an actual side of fruit she bought us a dole fruit cup. Not as advertised. Réservez une table maintenant
Our waiter was a guy named Jack and he was great at his job. He made sure we didn’t have any allergies and checked in on us a lot.I had the blueberry salad for an appetizer and it was amazing. I hadn't visited this restaurant in about two years, and I was surprised to find it nearly empty during dinner. While the service was excellent, the food was just okay. The fish and chips were greasy, and the fries were soggy and cold. It's clear that the place has undergone some significant changes.
Number 1 service was excellent! Our waitress was very helpful suggesting different beers for my wife to try and being very friendly and thorough. We totally enjoyed our dinner choices and the beers that we ordered. Not our first time here and we will definetly be back. Thanks Iron Hill!
