I recently tried the chicken and cheese empanadas at this restaurant, and they were absolutely delicious. However, I can only give them a rating of 3 stars due to poor customer service. When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted by anyone. There were three staff members present—a middle-aged man, a woman, and a young girl—and none of them acknowledged me. They all looked quite unhappy, particularly the woman who was at the bar. I decided to give the restaurant another chance the following day, but unfortunately, the service was even worse. The place was crowded with teenagers behind the counter, but they were too busy chatting with each other to attend to customers.

This review focuses on the staff and the unsanitary conditions at this restaurant. I used to love coming here, but my recent visit left me very concerned. When I went to buy empanadas, I noticed that several employees looked unwell and were coughing near the food. The person who handed me my order showed clear signs of illness and was coughing with mucus. Unfortunately, I had to discard all the food I bought. I am deeply disappointed and disgusted by the experience.
I literally never post Food reviews , but I felt like I had to. I ordered 4 different empanadas Asian chicken Shrimp and mango Bacon Mac and cheese And pork. The shrimp and mango was okay-est of the four. Food was great my wife had the chicken and beef empanadas. I had the BBQ chicken wings. My only issue is there was way too much sauce on the wings making them a little hard to enjoy, but the flavor was amazing. The employees were greatFreindly and very willing to help with choosing the dishes we wanted. Service was fast and spot on.We would most definitely come back again just next time i will ask for a little less sauce on the wings.
I remember my first experience with Island Empanada when I came across their food truck at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. I had no idea they had a location in Lindenhurst. The Buffalo chicken empanada quickly became my favorite!
Great experience! The food is excellent, and the staff is extremely helpful. I really love this place. The sauces are fantastic, and there's a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Plus, everything is served quickly.
The empanadas were really good on the few occasions I visited. However, the service was consistently a bit awkward. I stopped by today, but the place was closed, and I'm not sure why.

I only sampled the beef empanada, but the crust was wonderfully crispy and flaky without any greasiness, and the beef filling was absolutely delicious.
The food was incredible, and the restaurant was spotless. The staff was very kind. I recommend going whenever you have a moment to eat!
