Isshin Japanese House Lilydale

We had a wonderful family-style dining experience for our group of four last night. The restaurant, tucked away next to the beach, was a hidden gem that we wouldn’t have discovered without a recommendation. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. As for the food, I’m at a loss for words; it's truly exceptional. Our 14-year-old summed it up perfectly when he said, "It's like everything here is the best version of what it is." The option to order smaller portions was great, ensuring that nothing went to waste, which I really appreciated.

We visited this restaurant for dinner as a group of eight on a bustling Friday night, and we had a fantastic experience! The food was outstanding—delicious and incredibly fresh, far surpassing other restaurants in the area. The service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive. I couldn't recommend it more!

Unfortunately our experience was poor. We were a large table of 10 and the food was scarce. When paying $45pp (all you can eat) you expect to get sufficient food. The food we did receive was nice however they were way understaffed and under prepared for the size of their bookings.

The food was excellent, but the service needs improvement. One of the waitresses had difficulty understanding what the customers were asking for, and patience is required due to the long wait times. We experienced extended delays, but despite that, the meal was fantastic. Réservez une table maintenant

Food quality was good. Service was pretty slow and was given a bill for 'all you can eat ' at the end. Told the staff member that we weren 't advised that 's what was happening which is why we only ordered a few items. She corrected the issue.

The all-you-can-eat menu is fantastic. The service has significantly improved since our last visit (which wasn’t poor to begin with) when we came from South Australia. We always make it a priority to dine here every time we travel!
