WARNING: STAY AWAY!!! This restaurant has seriously declined. Our visit to JB's on 8/17/24 was disappointing. One person in our group ordered a half rack of ribs with sides, but the ribs arrived ice cold and undercooked. After taking a bite, he couldn’t eat anything else because the taste made him feel nauseous. We informed the server, and while they removed the cost from the bill, it really ruined our night out. Now, 12 hours later, two other members of our party are also feeling sick and vomiting. We tested for COVID, anticipating that question, and the results came back negative. We chose to visit on a busy Saturday, and I wouldn’t recommend doing that without a reservation. Fortunately, we were seated quickly after a brief wait. My wife began with a Berry Old Fashioned, while I went for a Bloody Mary. For some reason, we both decided to go for sandwiches, which is not something we usually do here. My wife started with the Crab and Corn Chowder, one of her favorites, and it did not disappoint. She also ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich with coleslaw on the side, and both dishes were excellent. I opted for the Pulled Pork Sandwich, also with coleslaw. Anything made with JB's barbecue sauce is simply delicious. Our server, Jennifer, provided outstanding service.
Usually takes forever to get seated here but I was lucky enough that I had reservations. Although the wait staff seemed upset that my reservations were for two and my dining partner backed out at the last minute because of a work obligation. The filet I got was the smallest filet I've ever seen. The side dishes were okay The service was weird because there were three different people that came to the table and apparently that's the way they do it there.
The wait staff is super friendly and very attentive. The food tasted delicious and the portions are a nice size. Our server went above and beyond even bringing my dessert over for my birthday without being told so, when she had seen on my open table reservation that it was my birthday. Very impressed and will be a regular for sure.

Delicious food. Braised ribs and mashed potatoes were done perfectly. My husband loved the Parmesan baked chicken. The highlight of our meal was the chocolate “box” filled with vanilla cream and fresh berries!! Our new favorite place!!!
Reception staff and waitstaff were amazing. Friendly and professional and attentive to every need. Jambalaya was good, but the sausage, though tasty, was not chorizo... shrimp was ultra fresh and very tasty.
Best meal yet at JB Dawson's. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. They even gave us a complimentary ice cream for my father's birthday ? Will definitely be going back soon!
The restaurant is cozy, with a friendly atmosphere. In each visit the waitress had been super friendly and you could tell her passion for providing top level service!

This place has great food. The twisted burger was cooked to perfection. Staff was always available for anything and seemed eager to please the customers
