I was really hoping J Greene's would improve upon their reopening, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We visited on Sunday, and I only ordered clam chowder and toasted ravioli. The chowder was nearly spoiled, and I couldn't enjoy the ravioli because one bite of the soup made me feel nauseous. They did take the soup off my bill, but that didn't make much of a difference. When I went to J Greenes pub this past week it was not crowded at all. That didn't stop the employees from making me wait at least 10 mins for a table, even though I saw empty ones everywhere. When I was finally seated the waiting continued. When I placed my order the waitress told me it would be out soon. That was a lie. I waited for near 40 minutes to receive my bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries. With so few people there I could not understand why my food was taking so long to make. When I received my food finally it was very good. For about 5 minutes. My burger became very soggy very quick. But I still ate everything and it was moderately okay. During happy hour, we sampled a few specials for $5 each, including mini chicken fried steak (essentially chicken nuggets on mashed potatoes with gravy), potstickers, cheese sticks, and popcorn shrimp. While nothing blew us away, the drinks were also on special, and the bartender was generous with the alcohol – a nice touch. Our server, Molly, provided excellent service, making us feel welcome, offering suggestions, and checking on us frequently. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
The helpful staff at J. Greene's saved our 40th high school reunion! After a power outage at another local restaurant due to a heat wave, J Greene's accommodated our party of over 40 people at the last minute. That was 40+ separate checks for food and beverages. (Love the oversized toasted ravs! The staff was amazing! We can't praise and thank the staff enough for welcoming us. We are planning a holiday celebration there later this year. Thank you, J Greene's staff!

Made a reservation Had to get our own menus Waited 10 minutes to be visited and greeted by a server When we asked about the special server didn 't know the price or how it was cooked Food was ok and part of it was incorrect and the servers response was to be ho eat I have no clue what 's going on back there . Not professional and didn 't seem to really care that this is a job be thankful
First time here, I can't remember what I ordered, because I was too distracted by my friend's cheeseburger with soft cheddar and bacon. She insisted on giving me almost 1/3 of it, and it was so good, I vowed this was what I was ordering next time. I mean, seriously, I don't remember what I personally ordered, because that cheeseburger left such an impression, haha.
Power salad was good but could have used more toppings (e.g. cheese) and less dressing. White chicken chili is good but could use more heat and bigger chunks of chicken. My wife had the taco salad with smoked chicken, and the chicken was too smoky, and there was not enough lettuce. Daughters had the pizza and grilled cheese. Both were fine! Pizza had good flavor.
We had a celebration of my late brother's life at J Greene's Pub last Sunday and I cannot say enough about how great they were in hosting a party. They went above and beyo d what we expected. Food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend them,

The Sunday fried chicken special is great. Music was very relaxing and the Cards game was on. Service was superb. Quiet little pub. Loved it!!
The half-pound burger with bacon and bleu cheese is the best around!
