The service was exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive and considerate, always ensuring that I was well taken care of. I opted for breakfast, and while I haven’t tried their ice cream yet, I can speak highly of the breakfast offerings. It’s classic diner fare, executed perfectly. I had no complaints at all. From bacon and eggs to pancakes, home fries, omelettes, and sausage—these are all staples that they nail without a hitch. It’s basic food, but in the best way possible! It was exactly what I was hoping for. The manager was incredibly friendly, filling my coffee cup to the brim and checking in frequently to make sure everything was satisfactory. I just wish I had caught his name! In su...

I loved the atmosphere of this diner, really gives you nostalgic vibes. I came for brunch over the weekend and was seated quickly. Booth was spacious and comfortable, menu was huge (and quirky) We got the Mexican omelette with pancakes, topped with strawberries and bananas. Omelette was delicious, and they were generous with the amount of fruit for the pancakes. We also ordered the Cheeseburger Deluxe, asked for medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. If you order coffee, you get unlimited refills, which they're quite adamant about offering to do. In my opinion the coffee was a bit weak and watered down, but for the price and the quantity it was expected. Overall, great value and experienc...
I grew up in Jackson Heights in the late '70s and '80s and Jahn 's was the go-to place for hanging out and dates when I was a kid. Many Friday and Saturday nights back then usually meant a movie at the Jackson or Colony theater and then off to Jahn 's afterwards! I have to be honest, just knowing that Jahn 's is still around brings tears to my eyes. I have so many fond memories of this place and going there with friends and my special girlfriend. This place is a treasure and I am certain that they have given other young people the same kind of memories that I got. It just fills my heart to know that they are still around.Kid-friendliness: Jahn 's just loves kids!Dietary restrictions: Today,...
Jahn's is one of those places that stay in your memory. I first came here as a young teenager. We used to come for their incredible Sundaes. Some things have changed, such as the mini Jukeboxes in the booths and some things on the Sundaes you now have to pay extra for. However, it still has that feeling of nostalgia. The food is good and so is the service. If you come on your birthday, you get a free Sundae, which is a very nice touch on their part. It is a neighborhood staple in Jackson Heights. It is a place that welcomes friends, families and solo diners, equally. The prices are good and the portions are big. I hope this place stays around for generations to come. After hearing about Jahn's from people who grew up a few decades before myself I had always wanted to try it and see what it was all about. The hamburgers were well priced, portioned well and tasted great! I was glad there was a 6oz and a 12oz option as we wanted to save room for ice cream after. The ice cream options were plentiful and once again the price, portions and flavor was on point. The staff was very friendly and kind. The parking situation in the area is unfortunate because I would frequent it much more often if it wasn't so difficult to get a spot around the area. I will definitely be returning with friends and family.
I had a strong desire for a classic old-school NYC diner, and this place hit the spot! Thank you so much! When I return to the city, this will definitely be my first stop for breakfast. Highly recommend—5 stars for the food!
