OH WE WENT IN AT THIS PLACE! The wait was not long at all. Service was good, staff was attentive. My daughter just started getting into hand rolls she said this is her new fave spot for them! My favorite roll had to be the bluefin bombshell! I'd go back for that alone! My bestie had Sapporo it paired nicely with the rolls. The nigiri quality was quite good too, not my favorite but still good. The place isn't too big, but it's cute for an intimate lunch or dinner.
I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a small, cozy spot with comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and efficient, making our experience even better. Although we weren't very hungry, we ordered edamame and a veggie roll, and both were absolutely delicious! The hot sake was excellent as well. I look forward to returning to try more dishes. Highly recommend!
Fantastic service and a lively atmosphere! The team here creates some of the most inventive and delicious rolls I've ever tasted. During my last visit, I tried the White Lightning, which is popular for a reason—it has an incredible flavor. The Bluefin Samurai was also a delightful experience, with a playful mix of tastes, although it had a slight bitterness from the little charcoal bits. Plus, they offer excellent ramen and sake bombs!
I didn't have high expectations for this place, thinking it would be typical Americanized Japanese food. I was pleasantly surprised! The Spicy Tantan Noodle was outstanding—definitely spicy with a nice kick, and the peanuty broth was perfectly balanced. I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but unfortunately, they had a bit too much vinaigrette for my taste. Réservez une table maintenant
The best sushi in the South Bay! The service is outstanding, and the staff is really friendly. My fiancé and I make it a point to visit at least once a week. The interior is charming, and the outdoor area is fantastic, complete with heaters! They also offer happy hour, which is an added bonus!
Everything about Japonica is incredible. The spicy tan tan ramen. 5-stars. The fantastic service by the only server in the restaurant? 5 stars. The smoked soy sauce? Beyond 5 stars. They were out of the crispy rice but I'm sure that spicy tuna on crispy rice would be 5 stars too.
Solid happy hour that is on the weekends too until 6pm. The regular prices are a bit high so we like to go during this time. The sushi is always tasty and a handy location near the pier to get your sushi fix.
I wasnt sure what i wanted but the server Kyle walked me through some options, made perfect recommendations, and delivered on the service flawlessly. Gotta stop by this delicious Réservez une table maintenant
First time here, rolls were delicious and a good size and still want to come back and try the rest of the menu! And they have Hitachino beers.
