Located in the JW Marriott, this upscale restaurant offers a variety of delicious food options. However, some of the dishes may seem a bit ordinary and predictable for the higher prices. The breakfast buffet had some great choices, but most items were similar to a standard continental breakfast. The lunch menu also felt familiar and typical. On the other hand, the drinks were creative and enjoyable, with fresh pressed juices in the morning and trendy cocktails throughout the day. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit for its innovative drink options.
It was our first time in Grand Rapids, we were there for the auto show. Decided to give Margaux a try and boy are glad we did. I cannot say enough about this place, the atmosphere was beautiful, the food was EXCELLENT! Even better was the service, our server Melissa went out of her way to make our experience amazing!!! Shout out also to Catherine, for great conversation! We were invited back for brunch the next day and it was just as good! We will definitely make the trip again just for Margaux.
It was our second time here and everything was fantastic again! Appetizers, entrées, and desserts were so good! The scallops appetizer with the butter was cooked right and didn't complicate or hide the main flavor I was looking for. I couldn't stop eating the passion fruit champagne sorbet blasting with flavor! Plus the sliced apple flambe was fun to watch being made in front of us and all the flavors and varying temperatures blended well (I.E. the warm apples sauce with cold ice cream).
Bring your wallet! Dinner for two and a few drinks was $200 with a tip. Don't take that as a complaint, we knew what were getting into money wise. And the food definitely stacked up. Parking was easy and a walk across the street without having to go outside was great. Definitely a place to go on a special occasion.

Everything was special at Margaux. The food was delicious and and the service was amazing. We were staying at the hotel, still made a reservation, had a great dinner and experience.
We had three mornings of breakfast here while at a conference, and the food, staff, service and surroundings were first-rate every time. We hope to be back!
It's worth going here just to have an omelette made by the omelette chef, who makes each one with artistry, as an individual act of hospitality.

We were in town for an event. The staff were really fantastic-knowledgeable, warm, creative bartending, and river was wonderful to gaze upon!
It was a great Father's Day Treat. Loved sitting by the water. Food was good.
