I absolutely love the barbecue at this restaurant. They have recently added a Wels dinner to the menu, and the all-you-can-drink option is a great bonus. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the customer service is friendly. The owner frequently checks in with guests to ensure their satisfaction and engages in conversations, which adds a personal touch. The portion sizes are reasonable for the price, and it's easy to find while driving. Whether you're in the mood for tender ribs, pulled pork, an open-faced sandwich, or something else, everything is delicious, and you can pick your favorite!
We had a last minute catering need for 50 boxes lunches, and these guys were kind enough to fill the bill! The portions were GREAT and our crew was most appreciative. We mixed pork and brisket sandwiches, and they varied the sides. The baked beans had more tomatoes in them than I've seen before, and were almost more of a chili. The twice baked potato was really good, and covered in a solid 1/2 of cheese! The delivery driver was 20 minutes late which impacted our lunch schedule, though so I've subtracted a star. 50 boxed lunches with drinks and delivery came to about $750.
Went to this place for the first time today. Wife and I tried catfish, shrimp, sausage, pork and brisket. All were absolutely delicious. Thought the sausage and brisket were particularly outstanding but the catfish was also top notch. Nice lady named Stephanie was working. She was all class: courteous, polite and professional. The owner, Mr Neel stopped by our table to welcome us as first time customers. Extremely nice gentleman that is rightly very proud of his product and staff. All around great experience. Will return.
I moved to the area in 1996 and Jerry Neel's has been in business in the same spot for as long as I can remember. If that doesn't tell you how good the food, service, atmosphere, and price is then you really need to go try it for yourself. If you like BBQ then you will be glad you did!

Had ribs, brisket, sausage, baked beans, etc. Overall very good. The ribs have a very good almost sweet flavor but could be a little more tender. The brisket was good but cut too thin causing it to be dry. All the sides were good. Good friendly staff, and waiter kept on top of things.
Still pretty decent place for barbecue. I haven't dined here in probably 25 years. The twice baked potato was not quite as fabulous as it could have been or used to be, the ribs were definitely good. My server was very pleasant and efficient.
As a Kansas City native, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to BBQ. The service here is excellent, and Jerry even came out to chat with us on our way back to KC from Texas. I tried the turkey meal, and everything was delicious!
The service and the smoked bologna fried okra were both great, but everything else we’ve tried has been just average. The twice-baked potato, in particular, was a big letdown.

The best BBQ in Fort Smith, Arkansas! The staff is incredibly friendly, and sometimes you even get to meet Jerry himself. Amazing people and delicious food!
My sister and I loved it. The food was exceptional, and the service was most welcoming. We recommend and will return soon.
