Jerry's was a big disappointment . The environment was perfect. Outside has plenty of parking inside looks great the ambiance was a vibe but the food just didn't do it. We were a party of 3. Quickly got sitted, we ordered crab bisque, fried calamari, and their crab dip. The crab dip wasn't baked to perfection. It was full of mayonnaise and cream cheese but seemed to be missing a lot for a tasteful flavor. The crab meat was just placed on top. The menu is pretty much straightforward. Food is delicious! Oysters on the half shell were fresh and clean. The crab bisque is pretty good, but I was wishing it had a little more flavor, personally. However, it was full of fresh crab meat. It seems like they add the crab meat when they plate it so the meat stays nice and firm. The crab bombs are out of this world. Full of lump, great seasoning, and good texture. This is probably the last time I will eat at Jerry's Seafood. I ordered carryout, and when I went to the window to retrieve my food, there were two other customers bringing back their green bean side dishes. They both indicated that the beans were brown and tasted like vinegar. That was the sign I should have paid attention to cancel my order. Instead, I paid and picked up my order. The calamari in my order was cold. The catfish, while hot, its coating was too sweet. It clearly was an off night in the kitchen at Jerry's. We had a party of 14 people on A Sunday. There was a wait for the table but at least they were able to accommodate our party. Our hostess was friendly, attentive and provided service with a smile. The broiled crab cake was excellently cooked. The cream of crab soup was bland; however, it tasted better once I used the provided Old Bay seasoning. The crab balls were tasty and the salmon looked good. We were each provided a glass carafe with additional soda or tea (depending on what you ordered). I liked that touch because we didn?t have to wait for refills. I would go back.
It?s just what the sign says, seafood. You can?t call ahead and you can?t make a reservation so if you come in on a Friday night you just put your name on the list and wait. We had a large party so the wait was right around an hour. We totally expected that, but when we sat down, the service was prompt, the drinks were flowing and the food was delicious. My husband had the signature crab bombs and I the stuffed shrimp. They both were amazing. For dessert we had the layered chocolate cake and the coconut cake both were delicious. We all enjoyed our food.
Lunch with my co workers. Not to busy and enough wait staff. Food delivered in a timely fashion. Calamari was tasty, the marinara sauce was a little sweeter than I like but good. The prices have increased as with everything else. Nice sized crab shrimp bomb and it did not disappoint. It would have been nice to have lunch portion pricing. I would visit again.
The crab bomb and cream of crab soup are both my favorites. The Cadillac margarita was made to perfection and all I needed was one. Jerry’s has been on the top of my list for some of the best seafood in the area for years. The wait isn’t too long and the service was excellent.
