beautiful place. the personal is very nice and professional. the short ribs are so delicious, juicy and delicate. the pupa salad was great and also the rock steak was excellent. the portions are not great, so they should definitely choose a dessert and cappuccino if they love dessert! the drinks are good and the pretty glass decorations from the deck are so beautiful together with the back water wall with changing colors. I have always enjoyed my eating here and have always reservations for us to eat here. Absolutely awful from start to finish.... I have never written a review before but felt absolutely compelled to do so after our awful meal. My husband and I often travel to the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and many fine restaurants in Manhattan to enjoy wonderful dinners. Jewel was, by far, the most awful dining experience that we have had both in terms of the food and service. When we walked in, the hostess did not ask to check our coats. In fact, most of the other tables around us had their coats draped over the backs of their chairs. It took the waitress twenty minutes to even greet us at our table. When she finally came over, she took our drink order and then told us she would come back......
Six of us went to dinner last night. we met around 19 o'clock. the restaurant was busy, but not crowded. we sat right away. the menu was very varied. I am not a huge carnivore, but decided to order a marinaded rock steak. I was fabulous. perfectly prepared. I shared an salate that is cool and crisp. I didn't know that the steak came with kartoffels and green beans, so I ordered some extra pages. the fried spirouts were great, like the mac and the cheese. many specials were offered, but we have mainly set off the regular menu. my only disappointment was the gloomy menu. Nothing really got me. but otherwise was probably the best I had in months. I'm looking forward to going back.

I'm here several times for business or lunch. Overall, eating is usually good, well presented, but it is also not knocking out the doors. service is in the regular good in my experience some of them somewhat less with it than others. beautiful place, although regarding decor etc. but I could take care of it less personally. it is worth it if it is necessary for business, but that is where it stops for me.
we came on a Saturday night. that is a beautiful little restaurant in the middle of an office complex of melville. décor is modern and a bit eclectic I really liked the water wall. the bar is prominent in the center of the large dining room. they can actually see the kitchen from the dining area. I liked the quotes about foods that are displayed prominently above the kitchen.
Doesn 't Sparkle enough for me.. I 've been to Jewel several times and the restaurant is beautiful and is a happening place to be. That factor doesn 't make up for the average food and very poor service. Then you take into account that it 's expensive; it just doesn 't work for me. All fluff and no substance.
