The Red Velvet cake here is with no doubt the best rendition of the dessert I have ever had in my life. The texture of the cake was absolutely perfect. Dense but not overly so, and it was lovely and moist. It wasn't very sweet at all, which was well balanced with the sweet cream cheese frosting. The frosting was wonderfully creamy, and the amount made for a perfect cake-to-frosting ratio.
I also tried a chocolate chip cookie. It was the biggest chocolate chip cookie I had ever laid my eyes on! It promised to be crispy and chewy, however I found the cookie to be overcooked and the exterior was slightly hardened and lacked crispiness.

J'ai aussi aimé comment les deux serveurs interagissent avec les clients locaux ... presque comme si c'était normal de prendre du café et du gâteau tous les jours. Dire que c'était un bon café, ainsi que du café de Melbourne, dis-je et le gâteau au chocolat végétalien était délicieux et m'a vraiment fait du gâteau (comme le velours rouge qu'ils préparaient). Absolutely loved this place...I went there for my first day (aka my birthday) in sydney and they had great service and a real vintage environment. It was nice to see all of the cakes being handmade and iced in front of you. I also loved how both servers interacted with the local customers... almost like it was normal to grab coffee and cake everyday. In saying that it was some amazing coffee, just as good as melbourne coffee I say and the vegan chocolate cake was delicious and made me really want to eat more cake (like the red velvet they were preparing).

I love Jillian's Cakery! Favorite place to stop in and grab a cookie or a slice of cake! Wonderful location and the staff is so kind. Fun to watch them make their cupcakes and cakes while enjoying an afternoon treat!
Hands down one of the best red velvet cakes in Sydney - perfect density, not too sweet with a creamy cream cheese frosting to balance flavours.

Visited here this morning for a coffee, the coffee was nice and smooth. Will be back to try the cakes ???? also friendly staff!! Definitely recommend
