I expected the sushi to be of the quality I found while living in Japan. The spicy tuna roll was too pasty and mushy and wrong color. I was able to eat only 2 out of 8 pieces, and those were hard to swallow. The yellowtail was too fatty. The only thing that was ok was the shrimp sushi and the Kirin Ichiban beer. Then when I didn’t eat even half of the food I ordered and I told them I didn’t want to take a box because I didn’t like it, they didn’t care. They come by and say everything ok? And don’t let you answer. I had heard they are from Japan but that’s not the sort of treatment you’d ever get in Japan. So if you’re looking for a taste from Japan, this isn’t the place. It just made me miss...
We didn't get to actually stay and sit down and eat because our daughter was throwing a tantrum. But the time that we were in there it was really nice it really sweet. We got our food to go and had no problem switching from dining in to take out. The food was great. There's this one roll, I don't know what it's called because my husband was the one that ordered for us, but it's a hollowed out cucumber moons with I think crab inside it. It was my favorite and so refreshing.
I’ve been coming here for 3 years. EVERY SINGLE TIME it remains AMAZING! I’ve never had one bad experience. It doesn’t matter if you eat in or get take out the food will taste great. The price and the amount of sushi you get are incredible as well. I’ll normally get the Kevin role and spicy octopus and that fills me up. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the place is very clean. Will keep on coming for more!
Great job responding to a review that provided no details at all! However, you forgot two of our orders, argued with us about the sake sizes, and shorted us on our drinks. The sushi was poorly rolled, and despite being less than three miles from the coast, you don't even serve real crab. Your advertising is misleading, and the food was even worse, with issues of cross-contamination.

Wow!! Best sushi and phenomenal service in st. pete! It was our first time checking out a new sushi spot and this is a keeper for us! We ordered about 8 dishes I would say? We lost count but everything was fresh and delicious! Can't wait to be back!

Jimmy's is the best for Sushi in the area. Jimmy is great, food is great, Staff is attentive and friendly, and prices are very good!
