If your looking for the best Dan tats in the SGV then this is the place for you to get some! It's a tiny little bakery but it serves the best Dan tats which are egg tarts typically a dessert item in a dim sum restaurant. The crust is thin and flaky and the egg tart sits on top. My aunts loves them so when I'm in the area I'll stop by to pickup some for them. They also have these PoTarts which are similar but the crust is thicker and dense with the egg tart being more pudding like. Service is good as I haven't experienced any failed attempts to get them. They have other desserts but I haven't tried them yet and probably won't as the Dan tats or PoTarts are the way to go here. As Covid continu...
The Po Tarts and Chicken Pot Pie are outstanding! The pastry is wonderfully flaky and delicate. The Po Tart is more of a creamy custard than traditional egg tarts, which I absolutely love. The bread is perfectly soft, chewy, and has a delightful sweetness to it. I tried the sponge cake once, and it was also delicious! The steamed rolls are quite tasty as well. We particularly enjoy the pork and cabbage; they taste just as good even after being stored in the fridge and then steamed a few days later! Jim 's Bakery is still taking orders via a partition door I miss the appeal of gawking at fresh baked breads. I know I 'll pick up a few more pastries if I am not standing by the doorway under the immense pressure to know exactly what I want. :)Regardless, the regular patrons continue to come, including myself. We come back because the baked goods ' quality and prices are reasonable. The service is quick and friendly.The Po Egg tarts are a must. Come early for better, wider selections or be like me, by 2pm, my favorite coconut cream buns and taro swirl buns are out. I 'm left to buy a couple egg tarts and a pineapple bun.
One of my old coworkers used to get our birthday cakes from Jim's Bakery and it was always one of our favorites especially the mango cake. Almost 10 years later I am still coming here for birthday cakes!They are always busy and there's always a line, but definitely worth the wait. I ended up coming here to personally order (3) cakes: tiramisu, strawberry, and mango they were all saved at the same party and the mango was the first to be completely eaten.Their cakes are fluffy, moist, not too sweet, and the frosting is super light and fluffy as well.Will continue to keep coming here!

These Po Tarts are absolutely fantastic! The flaky, buttery crust paired with the incredibly smooth custard is just divine! I wouldn't bother trying anything else on the menu. The hot dog bread is decent, and the chicken and curry pies are just alright. It's best to splurge all your money and calories on the Po Tarts—trust me, you won't regret it!
We visit this place solely for their Portuguese egg tarts. While they aren't inexpensive, they're undoubtedly the best in town. It's a good idea to call ahead to reserve and confirm their hours, as they sometimes close early. Their other baked goods are decent, but the egg tarts are the main attraction.
The Portuguese egg tarts here are fantastic! The flavor is very much like the originals from Macau, although the crust is slightly different. They tend to sell out by 4 to 4:30 PM, so be sure to arrive before then. IG: kay_okay_eat
Really enjoyed my plain egg tart and pineapple bun. I’m from NYC and the egg tart was just sweet perfection. Flakey crust and custard was delicious. I’ll be back!
