If you're in the mood for authentic home-cooked Korean cuisine, this no-frills spot is worth a visit. We've been following the owner for years, as she handles nearly everything in the restaurant, from cooking to serving, and even making her own kimchi and cucumber side dishes. You can often find a small group of Korean ajoshis enjoying soju and snacks, with a liquor store just 100 feet away. The menu has evolved a bit over the years; for instance, the LA galbi is now sweeter than I prefer, although the kids loved it.
