We went to Joe Pizza for lunch today. We started with the Italian meatballs. The meatballs were definitely made in the house. The sauce was very fresh. It is served with a single piece of garlic bread and with Ricotta, which is a really nice touch. I also ordered a coconut milkshake that was absolutely delicious. As usual, we ordered a pizza. The pizza came out very quickly and immediately we were impressed by the airy crust. They use the smaller pepperonis a Joe Pizza, which is a nice change of pace. My only problem with this pizza is that there was almost too much peppermint over it. The Ronis were over, sometimes 3 or 4 of them. But that may be a personal preference, I am sure there are tons of people who love the endless amount of pepper scatter on this cake. The server was also very polite and helpful. He had a few tables and made a great task to give them all the appropriate attention.
Joe Pizza was my favorite restaurant while I lived with my husband in Simsbury. We recently visited Joe Pizza again, this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff here is super friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. I'm never disappointed when I stop with Joe Pizza for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner. Your food is authentic and fantastic, the perfect kind of comfort food. The portion sizes here are quite large, so make sure you come hungry! Whatever remains you have for a delicious lunch the next day. I don't live in Connecticut anymore, but I'll continue to stop with Joe Pizza when I end up in town. It's definitely worth the trip for me.
