The menus were worn and so barely legible. They may well have been the ones used when the restaurant was in its hey Day in the 1990s. Today in 2017 the food is appalling. We couldn't eat the Laksha and left it and yet the waiter didn't ask what was wrong with it. This gave the impression he was used to people disliking the foodThe Thai green curry was ok but we will Not return unless we hear news of a major revamp and fresh approach to the cooking
This is a hidden gem in the Hyatt hotel. Situated on the lower floor, we were at first hesitant to enter but the friendly and helpful staff enticed us to try this facility. We were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, super service and great food. The crispy duck was outstanding as was the lamb. We ordered both the desserts on the menu and both were delish! Well worth a visit.
We ate dinner at this restaurant while staying at the Hyatt. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was served punctually. I had the spring rolls which were very fresh for entire. The pad Thai with king prawns again lovely and mango sago pudding for dessert. The menu is a little limited but Overall a very nice meal. I would go there again.
We’ve been here several times with friends and as a couple. Appealing ambient with an Asian flavour that never fail to serve up some yummy selection of spicy cuisine. On the last occasion, we enjoyed Joe Diner’s Beef Rendang, Nasi goreng, a vegetarian dish, Chicken Thai Green Curry and crispy barramundi. Good service & value for money. My group visited prior to a City concert and we informed waiter we were on a time schedule. Meals and wine excellent and served by excellent staff.All dishes were delicious and arrived in time for us to eat with no rush. Will certainly visit again and make an evening of it. Well done Joes Oriental
Although I enjoyed the curry laksa, the mango sago was the worst I'd ever had anywhere in my life. Looked like it was taken straight out of a canned mango and canned sago and thrown into a bowl.
These individuals teeter on the edge when it comes to service. Those who read my reviews are often impacted by the quality of service, and Joe's restaurant definitely delivers in that aspect.
My friend and I visited midweek and ordered a variety of dishes to share - all were delicious. I especially loved the banana fritters for dessert. Service was okay, could have been better. Réservez une table maintenant
I just had lunch at Joe's and it was amazing. The beautiful decor made me feel like I was dining in Asia, and the chairs were incredibly comfortable.
