If I could give negative stars, I would. This restaurant is no longer worth the time or money. Years ago, we used to enjoy it, but that’s not the case anymore. We visited for fish and chips on a Friday night and found the service to be slow and unfriendly. Many items listed on the menu were unavailable, and the prices seemed high for the quality of food we received. It felt like we were back in school, served on a tray with small portions: a tiny piece of fish and just a handful of fries. Coleslaw is not included with the fish and chips; you have to pay an extra $3.00 for it! We even had to hunt down a server to get the lemon wedges that were supposed to come with our meal. It seems that the restaurant is under new ownership. The fry portion was disappointingly small compared to the generous servings we used to get at Joey's. The water (with ice?) had a strange, musty taste that reminded me of a damp basement. Our table didn’t seem to be properly cleaned, and there was a ladder leaning against the wall, giving the place an unkempt vibe, nothing like the warm, inviting atmosphere it had in the past. Never go back. First order fish was small. Second time did get a free piece of fish but got charged for the fries and coleslaw that was supposed to go with the order. Couldn't even give you a potato for all the inconvenience. Plus I got the third degree !

The shrimp scampi was absolutely fantastic! The mashed potatoes were also delicious. I appreciated that the coleslaw wasn’t overloaded with mayo. Plus, the delivery person was really friendly. They brought everything right on time...

Service was good. Friendly and quick.Fish (pollock) was mediocre. Fries good. Coleslaw costs extra. Can of pop outrageous at $3.Dark and tired interior.Much better fish n chips can be had elsewhere (eg. Halibut House in NF).

The Joey's in my hometown closed down, so we drove an hour just to enjoy their famous fish and chips, and it was definitely worth it! The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious with excellent quality.

Very friendly and fast service. Lots of parking. Would have loved to see 1pc fish meals as 2pc is too much. Chicken bites could have used more flavour and spice.Walls beside tables and the floors could use a wash. Réservez une table maintenant

The fish and chips were the only highlights of this place, but they weren't anything special, especially considering the price (3/5). The blackened snapper came with seasonal (frozen) vegetables…

I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the fish at this restaurant. I highly recommend that you give it a try!
