I strongly suggest staying far far away from the fish and chips. And I see I'm not the only one that complained about them either here. Even my mother noticed that they seemed to look way too fried, and they were. Shortly after eating there, I ended up with horrible runs for the next two days, as well as acid reflux, which I've never had in my life. They seriously need to have a chat with their cook because you're literally making people sick and that is not right. Other than that, my parents' fish wasn't bad but not great. It was nice that for Mother's day they gave a free glass of champagne. Our server was really nice and attentive. The decor was pretty cool. I wouldn't come back, though,...
The food was excellent, and the drinks were impressive as well. I really appreciated that happy hour starts at 1 PM, and the prices for the drinks were quite reasonable, especially for a beachside location. The view from the back is beautiful, adding to the overall experience. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. It can get a bit warm inside, but they do have air conditioning and fans to help with that. Of course, it doesn't help that temperatures have been over 100 degrees every day—that's just Florida for you! We will definitely be returning. Nice atmosphere, really good ribs, good fish tacos. Caribbean rice side was pretty bland. Seating both inside the open air restaurant and on the patio, but no beach views. Lots of options on the menu. Would have been nice to have a wet wipe included with the ribs. Also, they sneak on a 3% credit card fee that I don’t remember seeing mentioned anywhere. But overall, it’s probably the best restaurant in the little strip in front of Riviera Beach.
Want a heart attack? Eat here. The food is not cooked to order. We ordered the $25 plate of fish and chips, came out not even 5 minutes after. I think the food was sitting out for a long time and they deep fried food twice. The sweet potatoe fries were so drenched in oil they didn’t taste like sweet potatoes. Just like grease. I can’t believe a restaurant charging this much for fish would have the audacity to serve this slop. Réservez une table maintenant
We went for dinner tonight being our last night at Palm Beach Shores. Johnny Longboats does not have Internet for customers. The wait staff said it interferes with their handheld devices they use to order and complete the bill. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were cold. A little while later we ordered a side of french fries and they came me hot so we know they do know how to make hot food. My wife loved her mussels.
