Went to visit my sister in NJ for the weekend , and this is one of their neighbor dive bars. Unfortunately, due to COVID, socializing has to be outside. We we first arrived, I was mad uncomfortable. Their were people just sitting/standing at tables with one beer .. not really dining just talking. In the meantime my party is just standing, waiting for someone to welcome/ seat us. Sir finally came, saying there's no seating , but we could eat on the concrete Jersey walls they had in the back. Mind you, were the only black people there. This review is long, LONG overdue. Props to Tom Fischer's for being an awesome little bar. I have been coming here about once per week for the better part of 2019. It all happened one night when all of the other bars were closed and my friend and I wanted a drink. Enter Tom Fischer's Tavern. Walked in, grabbed a seat and had a wonderful night. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, they give you space but check on you enough that you won't wait for anything. They served some great local craft beer and have everything else you would expect in a bar. I have never had food here, however what I have seen coming out of the kitchen looked great! After placing our drink order, I asked the bartender for menus, which she provided, but then we never saw her again. About 20 minutes passed before we had to ask another staff member to take our order, and she had a noticeable attitude. The woman who finally took our order also made sure to give us the bill for our food (the bar and food bills are separate). After that, no one came to check on us for drink refills. We were overlooked at least 20 times in the noisy bar, while the bartenders seemed to deliberately avoid making eye contact with us, all the while being friendly to other customers.

I went here on a Saturday night with a dear friend. We had crab fries- the best crab fries ever- much better than that famous crab fry place. Then a cheese steak- it was awesome too. We had many cocktails between us, all expertly prepared. We played the jukebox and then we left- this is where it gets good. The bartender- he was awesome, by the way- followed me outside to make sure I wasn 't driving and could get an Uber. He didn 't need to do that, but he did. Locals taking care of locals- I 'm sure he 'd do the same if you are from out of town too. I 've always loved this place and this day they loved me back.

I absolutely loved everything about Tom Fischer's Tavern. While their cheesesteak may not measure up against most places in Philadelphia, if you're looking for a cozy, welcoming neighborhood spot with a casual vibe, this is the place to be. With a sassy bartender named Molly serving up cheesesteaks, Tom Fischer's Tavern truly makes for a delightful experience!
Food was good! Service was nice! This is definitely a locals spot, but a nice way for our food group to mix up the night. As it was national wing day most of us opted for wings!! But the fried pizza sounded too good to miss out on! It 's fried dough with a pizza made on top! Very good& cheesy!! Buffalo fries were really good. Was a little disappointed that the hot sauce is made to order and we couldn 't get some on the side to dip. The garlic hot is good- but not super hot. Also they need a smoking area designated with outdoor eating.
Neighborhood and corner bar located in Haddon Township New Jersey. A nice Craft beer selection $5 Guinness on tap) and full bar of Drinks. Outside area, as well as a pool table. A great little Food menu, with specials weekly.
Small town feel and not a bad attitude in the room. Good prices and a perfect home for dive bar lovers. DO NOT SLEEP on their desserts ... check out that beer fridge for a preview.

The establishment refused to accept my ID, even though it had only been expired for one day. The service was terrible, and overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Excellent food and desserts. Don’t hesitate!
