Johnnys Shrimp Boat

I have eaten at Johnny's Shrimp Boat since the 50's when it was located on Main Street in downtown L.A. It's where I learned to love shrimp as a child. The shrimp today is made exactly the same as it was then. Yes, it's fried battered shrimp and it's goooood. The beans, rice and gravy are perfect sides and is the traditional way it's been served. They offer other sides like fries.

I Brought my husband here for his first time......he loved it! I've been coming since I was 2 yrs old ....my parents took me when it was in LA for my first time....i Love it! Their battered shrimp and fish are the best and their gravy is delish. Really any thing you order is great! Great and friendly staff

Been coming here for 20 years, love there beef short ribs and gravy rice and beans. Also best chili cheese fries. My kids and hubby love there shrimp and fish. We live far but make the drive it's that good.

Johnny's shrimp boat is a must try place it's definitely one of my favorites ... Good food and very friendly people with affordable prices..
