We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The staff were all excellent and we enjoyed some perfectly presented smoked old fashion cocktails. The Aranchini and Gruyère spread appetizers were delicious, as were the pasta entrees. We unfortunately didn't have time for dessert or to fully enjoy the live music duo, who were amazing. The restaurant was conveniently located within walking distance of the Royal Oak Music Theater, where we had tickets for a show.
The speakeasy entrance adds to the atmosphere, and you forget that you are in the basement of a bar. The drinks are very creative and well made. The food selections are varied and well prepared. Johnny's is a five star restaurant all around. Sundays are the best, you'll enjoy live jazz with the chef Johnny himself greeting you. The food and service is Impeccable with great ambiance. Great date night location. Also, this an a speakeasy so its text only. It adds to the theatrics of the night.

The waiter was unhelpful and took 45 minutes to take our food order. When the steak we ordered arrived with cheese, we were informed that it could not be removed. It was a terrible experience.
Sammy was an outstanding bartender with unique cocktails. Nice atmosphere. Bar counter not deep enough knees hit and have to sit to the side. Small plates good
