Outstanding Service and Exceptional Cuisine from Start to Finish! I can't express enough how grateful I am to have found Judy's Island Grill. My family and I were planning a celebration for my Mom's 92nd birthday and we were specifically looking for a Caribbean caterer. Located in a less than picturesque area of Glen Burnie, surrounded by used car lots and transmission repair shops, this restaurant may not seem like much from the outside. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and great service. I ordered a simple jerk chicken sandwich with fries, and was blown away by the tender, juicy, and spicy chicken nestled between slices of sweet coco bread. The homemade pineapple ginger juice was also a highlight of the meal. The staff, particularly Marlon, was incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting I try their whole snapper on my next visit. Overall, despite its less than ideal location, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon....
update: this time in an order called and it was much faster. delicious vegan food and great customer service to pick up the order. only problems were when I asked on the phone whether the tempeh came with nice, they said no, but it ended up with carrots, swirling and paprika who were good (I just wanted to know before I order); it was very liquidy (possibly oily); and there were small stalks in the curry that I suspect are part of it, but I don't think it's cheating. previous review: I have placed an online order and arrived at the time to pick it up, but it was not ready to wait an additional 10 minutes, which was somewhat frustrating because I was on the lunch break from the work and had n...
This Jamaican restaurant in Glen Burnie, Maryland is truly amazing. Located amidst automotive repair shops and car dealerships, it offers an authentic taste of the island. We enjoyed a delicious meal of spicy jerk chicken, rice and peas, green beans, macaroni cheese, and Bob Marley wings. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful and mouth-watering dishes, especially the jerk chicken. new review: I had to update this review because I now had 3 consecutive, less than favorable experiences here. in all three places the waiting period was unacceptable (they ignore the vegetarian orders and seem to fill only ubiquitous.) the last stray found with the soy chicken two pieces of bark (yes, actual animal meat.) I think this place has become too popular in the local contrary and that has it too inexorable. I will not come back here. if they decide to give it an attempt, they are simply warned.
Aaaamazing jerk and curry chicken. Pretty popular so it doesn't feel abandon (although it may look so on the outside). Live music (if it's too loud there's outdoor seating). But there's only 5 booths and the rest of the place looks more like a carry out (which they also do still, def a good spot for a nice dinner. However, each vegan entree is like 13.00. Def enough food to take home (comes with 2 sides) but wish it was maybe 8.00 since it's not THAT fancy.
I didn’t have a very good experience, which was my first time here. Took 30 minutes, or more, for my to go order to get completed. The faux meat was very gummy. The plantains had a strange garlicky flavor which made me think there was a lot of cross contamination Not looking to go back unless they have more items on the menu.. or something changes.
I have the Tofu-Jerch chicken with fried plantains and Kohl-Medley. it was pretty good! it was more liquid than saucy, but the tofu was beautifully supposed and the plantains were a great mix of sweet and sweet. I'd be back to a less busy time when I'm in the opposite. the parking lot is crowded and the building is quite small. Réservez une table maintenant
