My friend and I came for a late breakfast and each ordered the chilaquiles, side of potatoes, a plain coffee, and an espresso coffee drink. 68 bucks for all. No where on the menu does it state that the chilaquiles comes with scrambled eggs, which I hate. I politely explained this and asked if I could get an order with no eggs. I was told no and got the impression that this was policy and not the register person being strict. The young man at the register was very nice and personable despite this. I ordered a sandwich and another cup of coffee for which I was charged full price despite not planning on eating the first order. Luckily the chilaquiles were good and my friend ate both plates. On this visit, I decided to order the same salad but with salmon. Oh, I was so disappointed! The salad consisted of only a small amount of lettuce, with unripe tomatoes cut into quarters, and just a few slices of avocado and cucumber. The salmon was dry, and when I asked a young busboy for more dressing, he completely forgot to bring it to me. He walked past our table several times to clean other tables but didn't remember my request. I really didn't want to mar the moment with my friend by complaining, but I felt it was important to share this feedback. This occurred on Saturday, 10/21, around noon.
I hadn't been to Julienne's in awhile. It was disappointing. The menu is limited and seems to be pre-made. It took some time to place an order as the counter person had to help food delivery to a table. It is evident that there is not enough staffing. When i asked for 2 coke sift drinks, only one was available, so low inventory may also be an issue. When i asked about dessert I wad told that it was available on the other side where to-go orders are fulfilled. If you want a full service dining experience, this is not the place for you.
I'm very disappointed with the owner of Julliene's. I have supported the café by visiting, purchasing, bringing friends and introducing the owner to potential new customers for over 25 years. For whatever reason the owner has difficulty communicating and has treated me inappropriately. Maybe they're getting ready to serve chopped liver because that's how she has made me feel . Aside from the owner, it's unfortunate the quality has declined since Covid with the required changes. Réservez une table maintenant
I know lot's of people love Julienne but I think it has gone down hill since the Pandemic hit. It is now more of a grab and go restaurant and the quality of the food is just not the same. Spending $15.00-$18.00 for a pre-made salad you pick from the refrigerator section is just not worth the price. Yes, you can eat it there but without table service, should you really pay that much?
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is top-notch, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is clean and filled with friendly regulars. I enjoy coming here, especially when I'm recovering from a wild night, just to listen to the birds sing while I have my soup. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch!
A beautiful place, would go to have coffee but thats it. Tried the Mandarin Chicken salad and honestly, would rather eat a salad from Trader Joes. Especially if you're hungry. The chicken slices were drenched with oyster sauce(just poured on), inedible unfortunately. Not worth the $19+change.
