Kahler's Crab House

The ads for this facility have been published on my Facebook page for about 2 years. Since I was close, I made it stop my business. The place is not big. It looks like a very family-friendly place. The staff is also very friendly. I was there for the Blue Crab. Prices range from $37 a dozen for small blue crab, up to $125 a dozen for Jumbo size crabs. In NY, they usually sell only small Crabs, making everything from a larger size in a good rewarding experience. You have an All You Can Eat option for small blue crab, corn Monday-Thursdays. The crabs were good and served hot, with only 2 out of our 24 being light. The shrimp was also tasty, and the staff was friendly. However, there were some downsides: the crabs were a bit underseasoned, and the deviled eggs were over-seasoned. The first batch of hush puppies came out doughy, and it took a complaint and 20 minutes for someone to come take our drink orders. Overall, despite some disorganization, the food was decent, but we’re not sure if we would return.

We stumbled onto this gem after church; seated us without a reservation after warning that they were swamped; apologized at the end about not being so attentive. But put a dozen jumbo crabs, corn, shrimp, and drinks in front of me and I don't need much service after that. Everything was wonderful! The crabs I had here were the freshest I have ever tasted! The corn was incredibly sweet as well. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I'll definitely be coming back!

The last time I visited, they were understaffed with waiters. However, I really enjoy the homemade ice cream, which is why I keep returning.
