Oh my goodness! This is hands down the best Greek restaurant! I ordered a platter, and what sets Kalamaki apart is the way they separate everything on the plate. It's fantastic! I love that I don’t receive a jumble of meat, soggy salad, and terrible rice or fries all mixed together. Everything is neatly arranged, and I'm so thankful for that! I live in Whitestone and won't be getting Greek food from anywhere else. You won't be disappointed! Just take a look at this spread—it's perfection!
Wow! This Greek restaurant is fantastic. I ordered a platter, and what really makes Kalamaki stand out is how they keep each component of the meal separate. It's wonderful! I love that I don't end up with a jumbled mix of meat, salad, and sides all thrown together. Each part of the platter is plated individually, and I'm so grateful for that. I live in Whitestone, and from now on, this will be my go-to spot for Greek food. You definitely won't be disappointed! The food is simply perfect.
The lamb was tasty, but the sausage and salmon were not cooked enough. I had to wait a long time for a replacement piece of fish. While the waitress made an effort to address the issues, the food was only mediocre overall. Additionally, the presence of young counter and delivery staff gathered by the register joking and laughing was quite distracting and took away from the overall atmosphere.
The rice pilaf, rotisserie chicken, and salad were all exquisite and flavorful. The staff was exceedingly friendly and attentive. I would give this restaurant a perfect score of 10 out of 10. My friend also appreciated the warm pita bread with tzatziki sauce and the delightful walnut pie. I highly recommend this spot on Francis Lewis Boulevard. Réservez une table maintenant
I ordered the 'Mixed Grill for 2' for delivery and was really impressed by the tasty selection of flavorful meats. The lemon potatoes were a highlight, and the garlicky Tzatziki sauce paired perfectly with the meat. The portions were generous, easily enough for 2, 3, or even 4 people. Overall, it was an excellent value for the price.
The spanakopita (spinach pie) and grilled octopus were excellent. I really enjoyed the fried cheese, and the gyro was good as well. For dessert, they offer tartuffo, and you can choose the pistachio flavor too. Pickup was punctual, and their takeout containers are great.
Everything was fantastic! Our server, Ruth, was exceptional and truly a sweetheart. The owner was also wonderful, ensuring we had everything we needed and even treating us to a delightful after-dinner drink. It's a neighborhood gem, and I can't wait to go back!
This is by far the smallest gyro I’ve ever seen, and the same goes for everything else my family ordered. The portions here are really tiny. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. Réservez une table maintenant
