Kalapawai Cafe was a fun upbeat place to go for dinner. We split the Fattoush salad. It was good and the pita had an amazing spice topping. We both ordered the fish special. It had Mahi Mahi, scallops, Spanish rice with crab, caramelized pearl onions, baby green beans and 2 sauces. It was so delicious! We were both very impressed with the textures and flavors. We highly recommend coming and will be back ourselves.
Fabulous night at Kalapawai! Kama’aina favorite and the best place to celebrate a girls night! Service and food spot on. Malcom and the chefs outdid themselves with all the dishes especially the fish and gumbo! Manager was working the tables making sure everyone was happy! Service was excellent. Comfortable place with energetic staff. Great offerings at reasonable prices. Love the wine sampler. Short pours of 3 varieties. I'm not a wine drinker, so suits me fine. Their chacutere board is a definite order for a group.
First visit in over 10 years. Still wonderful. I've never been disappointed when dining here. My favorite Kailua restaurant. Great food, nice wine list, great people, no pretense. Réservez une table maintenant
